How to use color notes to learn new notes

Just as the Learning menu of our game Sheet Music Treble Clef and Bass Clef HN, Read Music Notes Sing 'n Learn HN uses color notes to make learning a new note easier.

To learn a new note, you can work with two types of lectures:
- In the A lectures, the new note is shown in color, so you can spot it right away
- In the B lectures, the new note is shown in black, just like the other notes

Compatibility with the Learning menu
in Sheet Music Treble Clef and Bass Clef HN

The color notes of Happy Note! Sing 'n learn match those used in the Learning menu of Sheet Music Treble Clef and Bass Clef HN. For instance, Lesson 2A features the same color note as the 2 notes option of the Learning menu in Sheet Music Treble Clef and Bass Clef HN; Lesson 3A features the same color note as the 3 notes option etc.

NOTE. The Learning menu of Sheet Music Treble Clef and Bass Clef HN is designed for those players who use the game as a full-fledged method to learn how to read music. Those players who use Sheet Music Treble Clef and Bass Clef HN as a complement to another method, or simply to fine-tune their music reading skills, can choose freely which note to play with simply by clicking on it at the start of the game.


How to take advantage of the compatibility between
Read Music Notes Sing 'n Learn HN and Sheet Music Treble Clef and Bass Clef HN

Open Sheet Music Treble Clef and Bass Clef HN, then select the 3 notes option on the Learning menu. Your screen should then look like this:

The Learning/3 notes option features 3 notes:
- C and G are shown in black. They are the notes you've learnt to recognize with the Learning/2 notes option.
- E , the new note, is shown in color : throughout the game, E will remain in color, so you can recognize it more easily.

Go ahead now, and play the game. Explore all the options, until you've become thoroughly familiar with the new note ( E ). Now, switch to Read Music Notes Sing 'n Learn HN and select Lesson 3A with a color note :

As you can see, Lesson 3A with a color note features the exact same 3 notes (C E G) and the same color note E as the Learning/3 notes option in Sheet Music Treble Clef and Bass Clef HN.

Go ahead now, and practice every tempo in Lesson 3A with a color note. When you're done, go back to Sheet Music Treble Clef and Bass Clef HN and left-click on the color note (E) to turn it black.

Start a new game. Now, whenever E appears on your screen, it is black just like the other 2 notes. You must now recognize it even though the color isn't there to help you any more.

Go ahead and play until you recognize E right away, even without the color to help you. Then, go back to Read Music Notes Sing 'n Learn HN and practice Lesson 3B without a color note :

Once practicing Lesson 3B has become easy and routine, you are ready to learn another note. Next time you play with Sheet Music Treble Clef and Bass Clef HN, select the Learning/4 notes option: the notes you learnt previously (C, E, G) will appear in black, and the new note, D , will be in color (Happy Note! Sing ' Learn Lesson 4A with a color note). Left-clicking on D in Sheet Music Treble Clef and Bass Clef HN will turn it black (Read Music Notes Sing 'n Learn HN Lesson 4B without a color note).
